Description
This is quite the find. Not just one but a set of three fabulous lighted display cabinets attributed to Harvey Probber. Each cabinet has two doors, upper and lower, alternating with two openings containing glass shelves on top and a solid shelf below. The doors are done in a gorgeous rosewood and the cabinet body is ebonized oak. With the three cabinets lined up side by side it is a sight beyond compare! The alternating rosewood and ebony is stellar. Condition is wonderful vintage; however, there are signs of age and use as you would expect. The side on one cabinet has some curling of the veneer grain edges due, I’m sure, to moisture at some time in its life. It cannot be seen from the front and, obviously, can’t be seen at all when that side is against one of the other cabinets. On that same cabinet the upper rosewood door also has a roughness to the grain but it does not detract from its beauty. These cabinets attributed to the renowned designer, Harvey Probber, are simply outstanding. You should have them.
