Description
This is such a handsome desk by Drexel and it even has its tag on the bottom stating it was originally sold by J. W. Robinson Co. department stores. It is done in campaign style with low roll tops or tambour doors on each side of the desk top which sits on a gilded X-base. This wonderful vintage desk is in great condition. There are some nicks and dings and worn spots, particularly on the X-base; however, unless you are a perfectionist, those imperfections only add to the beauty of the piece. We did have one of these campaign desks a few years ago, which we updated. We did the top Chinese red and the base black. That update was spectacular. This one retains its original finishes. The sky is the limit on where you could use it or what you could do with this handsome desk! Just make this one yours.
