Description
This gorgeous Georgian mahogany circular tilt-top table features four reeded and down swept saber legs which terminate in brass toe caps and brass casters marked Toler thereby dating it to 1844-1900. The lovely legs support a beautiful baluster-turned and carved center pedestal. The carving is that of acanthus leaves and is simply stunning. The top itself features a graceful ogee edge treatment. This classical Regency tilt-top table has a lovely and rich patina that only comes with age. Perfect for a large gracious home as a center table in the entry hall but just as wonderful and useful in a small apartment as a breakfast table where the tilt-top mechanism allows this elegant table to be discreetly stored away when not in use.
