Description
This circa 1986 serigraph is a fabulous piece of art by Victor Vasarely (1906-1997), one of the creators of Kinetic and Op Art. The bold coloration and graphics that define this form of art are dramatically apparent in this piece titled Jatek. The print itself is 25 7/8 inches by 24 5/8 inches but it is matted and framed to 41.5 inches high by 40.25 inches wide. The silvered wood frame accents the piece well and helps the pinks, purples, lavenders, blues, and the black and white come alive. This serigraph print is from the seven-piece suite Jalons which includes six serigraphs and a sculpture. It was printed at Atelier Arcay, Paris, France. Vasarely was a visionary combining techniques in science, architecture, painting, and movement. His breeching of disciplines created a style that changed many principals of modern art. This fantastic piece should adorn your walls. You know you want it!
