Description
Wow! This is an incredible pair of frosted lucite chairs. They are not marked in any way that we have found; however, they greatly resemble similar chair by Charles Hollis Jones for The Pace Collection and this pair did come to us with a Pace Collection glass table. Charles Hollis Jones was an American artist and furniture designer who is known for his pioneering use of acrylic and lucite and has been featured in many museums. The Pace Collection was a high-end furniture company in New York City from 1960-2001 and were known to handle pieces designed by Jones. These chairs are comprised of two solid horseshoe shaped lengths of frosted lucite which are molded to form the back, sides, arms, and legs in a somewhat barrel shape. The two lengths of lucite rod come together in the back and are upholstered. They then proceed gracefully down and around to from the sides and legs. The seat is attached to the four sides midway in the arch of the lucite. Black casters are attached to each of the legs. This incredible pair would be beautiful in a dining room, breakfast room, sitting room, solarium/sunroom, or game room. Or as a stunning pair of accent chairs in a hallway or living room. They will be striking mixed with many varied design styles from mid-century modern to Hollywood Regency and even give stylish flair to a traditional home. You just need to make them yours.
