Description
Gorgeous and large Brush McCoy vase. This is pattern number 177 in a mottled green glaze. Which is most likely their glaze called green onyx. It has an unusual shape, footed with a tall and slender waisted body and bulbus bottom. But let’s talk about that glaze. Deep forest green mottled with beautiful sea green. It is marked and even has the original Woolworth price sticker! Although it is marked with the Brush name only, Brush pottery has been closely aligned with McCoy pottery since 1911. Brush was founded in1906 but burned shortly after and founder, George Brush, went to work for the J. W. McCoy Pottery Co. Subsequently, in 1911 the two potteries merged becoming Brush McCoy. Then, in 1925 the McCoy name was dropped. Production continued into the middle of 1982. You need this vase I know you do. Make it yours.
