We are just giddy over these bar stools! Made by Burke, Inc. circa 1960s. They are incredible. We are all aware of the chairs and tables Burke made in the style of Saarinen’s Tulip table and chairs, but I wasn’t aware till now of this bar stool which uses the same fiberglass shell for the seat but has a style all its own for its fabulous base. A cast aluminum swivel mechanism attaches the fiberglass shell to a steel shaft that is covered in a beautiful walnut veneer which then attaches to a steel five spoke set of legs with a molded plastic full circle foot rail. Simply outstanding! The veneered shaft gives the look of wood with the durability of steel. These Atomic Age beauties should be at your bar whether in your kitchen or your rec room, in your loft or mid century modern home. Make them yours.
