Handsome antique Asian low table with a single drawer originally used for tea or as an altar. It is in wonderful antique condition with tons of beautiful age patina. Please see photos. Circa 1850-1950.

Description

This is a gorgeous piece of antique Asian furniture. Believed to initially be used as a low tea table but has also been called an altar table. In today’s home I can imagine it being used as a small low coffee table or as a low pedestal for a beautiful sculpture. It could even be placed atop a table as a pedestal to display an antique Asian tea service or special pottery. Or hey, top it with a pillow and use as an ottoman at your favorite TV watching chair. Then you can store all your remotes, game controllers, etc. in its convenient little drawer. With as versatile as this handsome piece is…you must make it yours.
