Fab, Fun, and quite Fantastic!!!! What an awesome piece of vintage farm equipment! This is so cool!!! This wonderful item was made as an actual gravity cream separator for a dairy farm, but its nostalgic presence and rustic patina make it incredible for an item of decor. It stands proudly on red-painted straight, angled square wood legs and is the most remarkable shade of green you have ever seen. Plus, the age patina is “imperfect perfection.” It is amazing what a few dings and a little rust can do to add just the right amount of character. It has a lid that reminds me of the Tin Man’s hat. In fact, the whole thing rather reminds me of the Tin Man from Wizard of Oz and, ironically, this piece comes from Kansas too. Use it as a piece of sculpture in your home or in your yard and it will look marvelous. But… remove the lid, hang it on the leg and fill the can with beautiful sunflowers and look at what you have!!! An extraordinary display piece for your entry or an astonishing centerpiece for your living or dining room!! I’ve even displayed it in our shop with a “bouquet” of old croquet mallets in it for fun conversation piece. We believe it to have originally been for sale by the Sears and Roebuck Co. but as you can see in the photos, the label is unreadable. No matter, this piece is so ridiculously fabulous, you simply must make it YOURS!!!!
