Here, in my opinion, is one of the hardest pieces of mid-Century Furniture to find a rocking chair! And this one is a wonderful example. The wood on this Danish modern teak rocker is in fabulous condition and the upholstery, which I would say is original, is in great shape; but, the foam leaves much to be desired (the back cushion is too soft, and the seat cushion is old and crispy). However, the coverings do have a zipper so that is easily rectified. The seat straps have been newly replaced. Someone did a bad repair at some point and there are staple holes in the wood surrounding the straps. Luckily, they are not seen when cushion is on chair. I have not been able to determine maker of this particular chair, but it is most like a Selig rocker I have seen. The greatest difference I have noted is the point on the rocker itself of the Selig chair is to the back and the point on the rocker of this chair is to the front. If any of you connoisseurs out there determine the maker of this one, let me know!!! In any case, it is cool and unusual and could be yours.
