Wow! I can totally imagine this incredible lamp on a black and white movie set. We have had a lot of pieces recently that embody the ethics of two design styles rolled into one piece. We can see much of the Art Deco period in this torchier but at the same time the elegance of Hollywood Regency comes shining through. I think you can safely call it both. It is comprised of a gorgeous spun aluminum shade and base with a shaft made up of four sections of barley twist or spiral twist glass with aluminum collar rings between each section for accent and to protect the glass edges. The whole is simply stunning. And, although this lamp is unmarked, and I’ve yet been unable to find an attribution, it is a beauty to behold so should be yours. Just do it.
