Description
When we found this light (actually there are two, but we are selling them separately) we were told it came from a building in New York City. We have no documentation to that point; however, we didn’t care. We knew it was amazing and we had to have it. We have used both lights in our shop for some time now but have decided it is time to share their amazingness with you. Each light hangs from a large linked heavy brass chain attached to a beautiful brass canopy with a subsequent lovely decorative cast brass ferrule, then more chain that attaches to a large ring at the top of the chandelier itself. The chandelier, which is in the shape of an inverted octagon polyhedral dome, is comprised of eight thin white slag glass sides with Gothic style cast brass applied decoration around the top of its frame that has caramel colored slag glass inserts with strips of brass between each curved side and ending with an ornate cast brass finial. The interior fixture is all brass and has 6 light sockets. These phenomenal fixtures will be striking no matter where they are used. Whether singly in a stairwell or high entry, paired in a dining room over a long and gorgeous table, or installed above an interesting over-scaled kitchen island! Without a doubt this is one of the most fascinating fixtures we have seen. You must make one or both yours!
