Well this is another of our treasures that is coming from our private collection which we have decided needs to be enjoyed by others! It is an incredible mid-century organic modern rattan pendant hanging chandelier. This round basket bird cage style fixture hangs from a small-scale link chain and has an interior linen-like fabric cylindrical drum shade to diffuse the light from its single bulb socket. It does have wire horizontal bands that aid in stability of the thin rattan canes. It reminds us of Franco Albini’s poof ottoman. I’ve always loved its simple graphic lines. You should make it yours!

Handsome vintage MCM, Mid Century Modern, rattan bird cage style pendant chandelier with interior drum shade after Franco Albini. It is in fabulous vintage condition with normal age appropriate wear. There is some wrinkling to the interior drum shade due to age. And, a couple of the rattan twigs are bowed differently than the rest as a natural product like this will do. The wiring has been checked and it is ready to hang. Please see photos. Circa mid-20th century.
