Description
This chair caught my eye immediately and I knew I had to have it. Its Hollywood Regency Chinoiserie style reminds me of something James Mont would design. It is comprised of a black painted steel tube frame with a very square blocky shape. But then inserted in that angular form is an upholstered elliptical shaped back rest, with brass Asian finials on either side. So simple yet immensely striking. The seat is upholstered in a fabulous Chinoiserie chintz depicting three Asian Geishas in lovely kimonos and obis carrying an umbrella in a garden with an urn full of flowers, a plum tree, a bird, and a bridge in colors of aqua, red, rose, and white with a touch of black. The oval seat back is covered in a lovely aqua silk. This chair is a work of art! It will be incredible wherever you decide to place it. Just make it yours!
