This is a stunning mid-century modern gilded metal sunburst (or maybe it’s a starburst!) wall hanging. It has a 10-inch diameter cutout center surrounded by beautiful gold leaf bent metal bursts and slender rods with hammered grooves and arrows on the ends in between. Originally, we suspicion, this beauty was an escutcheon for a ceiling fixture, and you could use it for that purpose again if you add a globe or light. It would also be gorgeous if you add a custom piece of convex or standard mirror. But it’s wonderful just as it is…hang it on the wall to add a splash of Brutalist or Hollywood Regency style to any room or hallway in your home.
