Wow! this hand woven pine needle basket by local Topeka, Kansas artist Teresa Johnston is totally stunning. This hand woven pine needle basket is titled “The Cowboy” and was created in 2007. Teresa gathers all her own pine needles and then skillfully creates her one of a kind baskets. This particular hand woven pine needle basket has a leather wrap with stone button around the neck. It looks just as perfect in a contemporary setting as it does in a Southwestern or country style home. Tresa’s baskets remind me of native baskets from a previous century. It is just a wonderful piece of art.
