Description

Oh Drexel…. You’ve done it again!! This is a phenomenal pair of Accolade II Collection end tables by esteemed US furniture maker Drexel. They are comprised of gorgeous pecan colored wood veneer with a rectangular beveled glass inset on the tabletops and they each have a lower drawer with brass plated horseshoe shaped pulls! FABULOUS!! They’re going to be wonderful in your living room on each side of your sofa or loveseat and although technically they are end tables they could serve nicely as nightstands in your bedroom. Or you could separate them and use one in your entry way under a fabulous piece of art or a mirror and one in the sitting room next to your lounge chair. Their lovely Campaign Style will blend in beautifully with many styles of décor and they’re from a popular line by an iconic manufacturer, so you know they are classic, timeless, high-quality pieces.

Drexel Furniture Company was founded in 1903 in Drexel, North Carolina by six businessmen for a total investment of $14,000.00. Sam Huffman, one of the initial founders, managed the enterprise until his death in 1935 when his son, Robert O. Huffman took the helm. By 1950 under the younger Huffman’s leadership Drexel had grown from a small factory to a leader in furniture manufacturing. They acquired other furniture companies along the way and by the late 1950s employed 2300 workers. The 1960s had them adding industrial and hospitality furniture to their lines. In 1968 they were purchased, and Drexel Enterprises became Drexel Heritage Furnishings, Inc. They continued to add to their styles and lines and were sold again and then in 1986 became part of Masco Corporation one of the country’s largest furniture manufacturers. Drexel closed its doors in 2020.

Superb Quality? Yes!… Timeless Design? Yes!… Iconic Manufacturer?… Definitely!! These Accolade II Collection end tables by Drexel have it all! Don’t wait, Make them yours!!
