Description
What an incredible Mid Century Modern sectional daybed sofa! Or is it Danish Modern? These are in the style of the George Nelson daybed sofa (but not quite) or the Peter Hvidt daybeds and sofas (but not quite). I do not find a marking on this pair and have not been able to find anything that I think is the same. The support straps for the seat look like Dux but……? I’ll just describe it as best as possible. The arms are walnut (or teak hard to tell) as is most of the frame; however, the back supports and the back of the seat support is oak (I believe). The arms have a woven basket insert and are removable and can go on either end of the individual pieces making it so you could have a two armed sofa and a no armed sofa. The back supports are also removable so that you can have a chaise look if you so desire. The legs are square matching the frame and the single seat cushions, which are newly replaced by the way, make it great for napping. The aqua or turquoise upholstery is in excellent condition. As you can tell these have a lot of flexability.
