The front of the headboard is framed with gold painted trim… It’s absolutely stunning!! The Union National Furniture Co. of Jamestown, NY., was formed in 1939 from the National Furniture Co., which had been in business since the early 1890’s. Both companies were owned and operated by the Nord family. The Nords made quality high-end furniture. Union National catered to many famous people including William Holden, Jerry Lewis, Lucile Ball, Wayne Newton, and others. The furniture was expensive and brings top dollar to current day. All furniture by Union National was made of quality hardwoods and painted pieces were done by highly skilled artists, such as C. Gaeto. Union National Furniture closed their doors in 1994.
