Do you hear that? It’s the Islands calling!!! This is a fantastic lounge chair and ottoman comprised of beautiful straight rattan canes with leather strap wrappings. Their straight, leather-bound canes look very similar to styles by Calif-Asia, Ficks Reed, and McGuire. It also has a Ralph Lauren feel. We think this set looks like something right out of Earnest Hemingway’s living room! And…we know a fun fact about the way you can tell the difference between rattan & bamboo…. Rattan will bend and the canes are solid while bamboo is hollow and will not bend, and although these beauties have straight canes, they are solid AND they’re bound with leather straps. AWESOME!! The cushions were added from a previous owner and although they look wonderful, they are not original cushions for this set. However, they are super comfortable, but we will leave it up to you if you would like us to include them with your purchase or not. This is just the set you need to kick back and relax in your Coastal or Island style sitting room. Or maybe you prefer the exotic tones and warmth of an “Out of Africa” inspired style. Either way, this set will blend in beautifully!! Add some lush tropical foliage or tall plants like a Paradise Palm or a Bird of Paradise… It will create an Island inspired casual style and feel like you’re right there in your own Tropical bliss! Awesome vintage Island or Ralph Lauren – “Out of Africa” Style lounge chair & ottoman comprised of rattan, leather straps, and optional pillow cushions in the style of Ficks Reed & McGuire. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that these are vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. We have replaced some missing leather wrap, replaced fabric decking cover over springs, and given them a fresh coat of sealer. Cushions are not original but are large floor pillows however they fit nicely. This was how we received it. We will ship with but most likely you will want to replace. These are priced accordingly.
