Handsome vintage Colonial style Conant Ball low stool with oval seat with vintage destressed tan velvet upholstery and maple splayed legs with ball feet. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The legs have been given a fresh coat of Danish Oil and we love the age patina of the velvet seat, but it is easily changed. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, Early to Mid 20th Century.

Description

You know, sometimes you just want a cute little stool that can go here, there, and EVERYWHERE!! Well, THIS is that stool!!! We have an incredible Colonial reproduction low stool comprised of a wonderful oval seat wearing vintage tan velvet upholstery surrounded with gimp trim. The fabric does have a bit of wear and patina which we intentionally left alone as we find it endearing and rather attractive! It stands upon maple Colonial style splayed legs with wonderful ball feet, and it has been given a fresh coat of Danish oil but it retains its original finish and it looks GORGEOUS!! The classic simple lines it bears makes it blend in with almost ANY style of décor whether Mid-Century Modern, Modern, Cottage Core, Maximalist, Traditional, and Transitional to name a few. It would be wonderful at a vanity, in a dressing room, or at the end of your lounge chair for a soft place to prop your feet. There is literally nowhere this awesome little stool can’t go!

The Conant Ball Furniture Company was founded in Gardner, Massachusetts in the late 1800s. It was well known for producing wooden Colonial Revival furniture reproduction chairs but soon expanded into bedroom furnishings and dining room sets. In the 1930s Russel Wright designed a line of furniture for them called American Modern named for his line of dishware. It has been long thought that many of the other modern lines by Conant Ball were also designed by him but recently it has come to light that many of these subsequent designs are by Leslie Diamond. Conant Ball closed its door in 1980. Many of its designs, whether by Russel Wright, Leslie Diamond, or an unknown designer have come to be highly desirable, which speaks volumes about their high quality and great lines.

This is an INCREDIBLE vintage stool by Conant Ball. You know you love it, you know to want it, and you ABSOLUTELY NEED it!!! Just do it, make it yours!!!!
