Description
Magnificent and stately are these vintage federal style barrister stacking bookcases. Beautiful mahogany with solid flipper doors rather than the usual glass fronted. The door of the bottom section, instead of flipping up and sliding in, flips down and is divided with slats for papers or magazines. Each bookcase consists of 4 stacking sections, a base, and a top. This pair can be butted against one another to make one great impression or split as two separate bookcases which could flank a fireplace stunningly. Since the doors are solid I could also see these used in unusual ways such as kitchen cabinets, or clothes storage, or in a bathroom. Very versatile and handsome! Listed and priced as a pair but will consider selling separately. They are in wonderful vintage condition.
