This is a massive and quite marvelous mahogany tone finished hardwood Chinese Chippendale lighted display cabinet or bookcase with an incredible breakfront feature. For those that may not know, that’s what the “breakfront” feature is… The sides are recessed a bit behind the center section. Let’s discuss the top section of the cabinet first. The top is divided into three separate lighted sections (each section has an individual, single bulb) bearing three height adjustable glass shelves with convenient plate grooves behind double doors with glass fronts in the center and two glass front side doors which all feature marvelous decorative mullions upon the glass. There are also plate grooves in the bottom wood shelves in the top three sections and a lovely crown molding and carved detail runs along the top edge around the front and sides of the piece. The entire top section rests upon the top of the lower buffet which bears double doors in the center and two side doors. There are three spacious drawers behind those double doors and an adjustable single wood shelf behind each side door. The doors all feature lovely brass pull hardware and it bears a marvelous hand carved decorative trim on the top front and sides of the buffet. This colossal cabinet is not only impressive in size but in versatility, purpose, and Chinese Chippendale magnificence!!
