Fabulous vintage Neoclassic Revival distressed painted, carved, & gilded tall sculptural fern or plant stand or pedestal table. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear even if it has been refinished or restored. Specifically, this is a very solid piece but the finish is in purposeful aged and distressed condition. It wears an all-over purposeful distressed white painted finish that has been perfectly kissed by the vintage hands of time. Below the round top hangs a lovely center ornament detail composed of graduated tassels or bells topped with a gilded finial. (insert immature devilish giggle) The outer edges of the supports boast handsomely carved & gilded details that simply SCREAM with styles including Neoclassic Revival, Italianate, & Regency Revival magnificence!!! And, although it bears the PERFECT way to display your fern, house plant, sculpture, vase, or lamp… this spectacular sculptural showpiece is STUNNING standing on its own!!!! Its BIG.
