Description
When I think about an item that just screams 1950s atomic age….this, a bullet planter, is at the top of my list. Very Jetsons. Or maybe it’s the Dick Van Dyke show! Whichever, it calls to mind cocktails and patios, starbursts, and triangles and flying cars! This example boasts a bullet bowl of eggshell colored fiberglass with swirled gold designs and has a lip around its edge. It is unusual from most. Rather than the planter being removable from its base this one has a metal hub attached to it with screws. The hub has three holes into which the three metal legs screw forming the tripod base. There are rubber tips on the legs. Obviously, this will be fabulous as a planter, but I could see it being used as a champagne bucket, dog toy receptacle, a magazine holder, or just an object d’art to hold a collection of orbs. You need only make it yours and let your imagination soar! (like one of those flying cars!!!)
