Shafaq (Malik) Ahmed was born in Pakistan but now resides in the United States by way of the UK, Iran, and Denmark. She studied at Virginia Commonwealth University and received her Master of Fine Art degree from Texas Christian University. Shafaq worked as an art glass designer for Barovier and Toso Czech Republic from 1995 to 2003. And collaborated with other Czech and Swedish art glass studios. She is now dedicated to multimedia art including onsite installations. Her work is in private and public collections worldwide.
