Oh my gosh this is a gorgeous cabinet!! When we saw it, we knew we had to have it to offer to you. Just look at those-reverse-pyramid-stepped feet! The case is constructed of what we believe to be ebony wood with its beautiful rich deep black coloration with just a bit of brown coming through. Exquisite! It is comprised of a square cornered case with four drawers in the center and a drawer above double opening doors on either side. The doors are carved with an Asian medallion. Plus, the doors and drawers are accented with lovely brass hardware. The Asian style in décor has always been around on the fringes of interior design with several surges forward including the Victorian Era, The Art Deco Era, and the Hollywood Regency Era. This cabinet has us puzzled as to which of those eras it belongs. It seems older due to its beautifully dovetailed drawers, but Asian workmanship always seems older so could be mid-20th century. In our opinion it doesn’t matter. It is extremely well constructed and so handsome plus very versatile indeed. It will go with your décor whether it is mid-century modern, Art Deco, Hollywood Regency, or traditional. You need to make it yours.
Psst….we have also listed a complimentary drop front desk you may want to investigate if it is still available.
