We fell in love with this drop front desk the moment we saw it and knew we had to have it to offer to you. It is stunning in its simplicity. The case is constructed of what we believe to be ebony wood with its gorgeous rich black coloration with just a hint of brown showing through. It is comprised of a square corner case with a drop front door that is adorned on the front with an Asian symbol and geometric designs. This drop front creates the desk surface when opened. Under the drop front are four full-width drawers creating ample storage. The interior of the drop front is outfitted with cubbies and dividers for files and/or stationery. What a great spot for paying the monthly bills or writing a quick note. Then close it up and…….voila! No mess!! And it’s a great spot for a laptop. We adore the rather pyramid stepped feet and the simple brass Asian handles. The Asian style of décor has always been on the fringes of interior design with periods where it was more popular than others including the Victorian era, the Art Deco era, and the Hollywood Regency era. This secretary has us puzzled as to which of those eras it belongs. But in our opinion, it doesn’t matter. It is extremely well constructed and so handsome. Plus, it blends with or accents about any design style you can imagine. You must make it yours.
Psst…..we have also listed a complementary styled credenza you may want to investigate if it is still available.
