Description

What a lovely lovely piece of functional art! We believe this amazing hammered and pierced brass dragon motif lantern-style antique floor lamp to be circa 1940 and from Tibet. It is so mystical and finely crafted. Standing on three feet the shaft rises from the bottom platform with the pierced and hammered scales of a dragon and ends in a curved top as the dragon head. The lantern light itself hangs from the dragon’s mouth. It could be that one statement piece you need in your room. This vintage lamp is in fine age and use appropriate condition. We have found a small ding in the dragon’s neck and there is beautiful green age patina on the feet. I’ll be sorry to see this one leave the shop.
