If it’s true what they say that beauty is in the eye of the beholder then… BEHOLD, this beautiful bed!!!!! This is a simply stunning design, and it is signed by Michele Archiutti!! Both the headboard and footboard are comprised of freshly black painted arched double metal filled flattened tubes with gold trim in between them and brass plated ribbon accents. The top of each arch curves inward and swirls on opposite sides and has a ribbon clasp accent. There is a double bar stretcher on the headboard and one on the footboard. Throughout our extensive research we have found little information on Michele Archiutti. We know that he was a member of a family of entrepreneurs and that there is still an office furniture company with that name, AND that Jackie Gleason purportedly owned a pair of chairs with his signature on them! Which is super cool, but, after that information, we hit a brick wall! What we DO know is that this is a MAGNIFICENT bed however it came to be!! And that its Art Deco Revival awesome-ness is going to look AMAZING in your bedroom, guest room, or Mother-in-Law suite!! The dimensions are 60 x 80 so, it will hold a queen mattress on the side rails. Haven’t you already fallen in love with it? Of course, you have!! Then what are you waiting for? Make it YOURS!!!
Art Deco Revival Black & Gold Accent Flattened Metal Tube Queen Bed by Michele Archiutti
$3,295
Lovely Art Deco Revival black and gold accent filled flattened metal tube queen side bed signed by Michele Archiutti. Beautiful condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The finish was originally brass plated, but it just had too much distress, so we gave it a wonderful fresh coat of black paint with gold trim. We left the brass plating on the ribbon clasp accents. We will supply appropriate side rails. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections. Circa, 1970-1980’s.
