We aren’t exactly sure if they are cherry, plum, dogwood blossoms or dragon fruit but we do know that they’re beautiful!! The intrinsic details of blossoms, leaves and vines, and beautiful green birds are hand painted upon a gold leaf finished heavy paper with a floral print beige silk brocade border and black lacquered frame. The back of the screen is a heavy paper covered in a gorgeous royal blue silk, and it folds in half at the center with stunning double brass hanging loops on the top…WOW! The hand painting is so sophisticated you can almost hear the soft chirping of the birds, hear the light cracking of the tree branches blowing in the breeze, and smell the sweetness of the blossoms…Ahhhh, a moment of Zen! This wonderful screen would be a gorgeous wall hanging in an entry or hallway, over a credenza or bar cabinet, in your yoga room, or even over your bed. If you have a smaller space, it could also be used as a room divider. Fabulous two panel screen or wall hanging with Asian Chinoiserie hand painted designs on gold leafed paper with silk brocade border & silk backing, lacquered frame, and double brass hanging loops. Gorgeous condition, keeping in mind that this is vintage and not new so will have signs of use and wear. The frame has some nicks and scratches indicative of age but nothing on the piece we have detected. Please see photos and zoom in for details. We attempt to portray any imperfections.
