OMG! This is glamour at it’s finest! This is a fabulous set of 6 Gold Fleck shrimp cocktail glasses and their inserts by Dorothy C. Thorpe circa 1950’s. Definitely pure mid century modern! Ms. Thorpe, like her contemporaries George Briard and Fred Press, designed but did not manufacture her stunning creations. Her wonderful designs were created using sandblasting, silver overlay and paint speckle on simple blank glassware from U.S. and European manufacturers. These shrimp cocktail stems are part of a much larger set of barware / cocktailware we have listed. Each piece of this set of 6 shrimp cocktail glasses are marked with Dorothy C. Thorpe’s ” dTc ” sandblasted signature. Incredible set of 6 shrimps ( or sherbets ) are in wonderful vintage condition, no chips, cracks or chiggers.
