I’m so in love with the glamour of this set of 5 Gold Fleck small champagne flutes or wine glasses by Dorothy C. Thorpe circa 1950’s. Definitely pure mid century modern! Ms. Thorpe, like her contemporaries George Briard and Fred Press, designed but did not manufacture her stunning creations. Her wonderful designs were created using sandblasting, silver overlay and paint speckel on simple blank glassware from U.S. and European manufacturers. These martini stems are part of a much larger set of barware / cocktailware we have listed. This small stemware is marked with Dorothy C. Thorpe’s ” dTc ” sandblasted signature. A set of 6 wines, or they could be cordials, are in wonderful vintage condition, no chips, cracks or chiggers. There must be some wear as you would expect for their age but I haven’t found any yet!
