ABOUT
This is a fabulous chest style end table by the Founders Furniture company circa 1965 and maintains its original hang tag. What a uniquely designed cabinet. Just look at the incredible book-matched veneer top, the cut-off or angled corners, and the wonderful bronze-tone pull on its double opening doors. It also has an interesting groove detail and toe-kick. Jack Cartwright designed for this company and I have heard rumors that Milo Baughman did as well; however, we have not been able to document that either one of these awesome mid-century designers were the originator of this piece. We have also had great discussion on whether this is walnut or rosewood. I say rosewood. My husband, and business partner, says walnut. Hmmmmm? No matter. It is beautiful. It is also in very good vintage condition and would not only be a gorgeous addition to your home but very useful indeed. We hope you’ll make it yours.
