This one-piece china hutch cabinet consists of an upper section with solid sides with a single opening middle framed glass door and two outer framed glass panels. The lower portion is made up of three solid panel doors for storage. These doors are comprised of the famous Perspecta design feature of arches formed by the carved wooden bow-tie shaped pulls. Simply stunning. Both top and bottom portions sit atop a beautiful mid-century modern U-shaped leg platform. Finished in the expected and gorgeous Kent-Coffee walnut veneer. Kent-Coffey Manufacturing Company, founded by Harold Coffey, began in Lenoir, North Carolina in 1907. Along with friends and competitors, James Broyhill and John Bernhardt, Harold became one of the early leaders who established the North Carolina furniture industry. Kent-Coffey collections of the 1950s-1970s became very popular due, in part, to their reputation of being solidly built and priced so the average consumer could afford to purchase them; but, most of all for their beautiful designs. Handsome china cabinet, breakfront, or display cabinet from the Perspecta line by Kent-Coffee. This piece is unmarked, but its distinct lines leave no doubt as to its origins. It is in wonderful original vintage condition with normal age appropriate wear and nothing outstanding. According to a stamp on its back, circa April 10, 1970.
