Mid-Century Modern Electric Cone Freestanding Fireplace in Indian Orange by Sears

OMG!!! This retro mid-century modern fireplace is so perfect. The cone fireplace was originally designed by Wendell Lovett circa 1950 and it was quickly copied by Preway, Malm and other makers. This one is a full electric Model #114D-96910 Indian Orange and 114D-96016 Wet Black sold by Sears. We even have the original owners manual! This would be so incredibly cool to use for supplemental heat in any room of your home or on a sun porch. The flue pipe comes in two pieces plus collar; however, since it is totally electric, the flue is not necessary but just for its oh so wonderful look. The fireplace is equipped with two control knobs located on the rear. One knob controls the thermostatic control operating the blower and heating element. The second knob operates the cylinder motor and bulb which gives you the look of burning embers. These controls give you the option of having the burning log effect with or without the heat! It is in awesome vintage condition. It has all its parts and pieces including the log set and wire mesh screen. It has some imperfections due to age; but, overall in almost new shape.
