Eeeeeee! We totally fell in love with this display / china cabinet! It is so “today’s fashion” and vintage at the same time with its original painted finish on its cabinet box paired with the beautiful teak wood veneer of its doors. This rectangular box of a cabinet is lifted from the floor by a recessed tall plinth base with both the box and plinth painted the yummiest creamy white, as well as the inside and shelves. The upper doors are glass framed with teak. Not in the regular way with the frame going all the way around the glass; but framed just vertically on its sides. So interesting and unusual. The lower two doors are solid and square with the teak grain running vertically. There is no adornment at all apart from a single modern skeleton key which moves from upper keyhole to lower keyhole to open doors. We have searched high and low for a maker’s mark on the piece plus searched online to no avail. We believe it could be attributed to Bartels of Germany but cannot be sure. We are sure it is incredible. And gorgeous. And useful. And must me yours!!
