Is it a wall unit? Is it a shrunk? Maybe it’s a secretary or a bookcase? Or a fantastic liquor cabinet sideboard! Whatever you want to call it,…Isn’t it AWESOME???? Just look at all the possibilities you have with a modular unit like this!! And the DETAIL!!! Wow…it is oh-so-easy on the eyes! The whole German piece is solidly built, has doors and drawers galore and is covered in gorgeous teak veneer! Let’s start with the upper section, two huge sets of double doors open to expose a phenomenal amount of storage and shelf space. A good place for linens, dishes, or whatever. Just below those doors, in the mid-section there are two drop down locking doors that turn into desk spaces or for your beautiful barware. At some point, the inside of the secretary was painted with a gold textured paint. There were a few holes cut in various places in the back of the unit for cords and wiring convenience. We have neatened up all of these by making them round and adding gromets that can be removed if needed. It’s a wonderful configuration of useful space…a convenient area for an office or place to do schoolwork and when you’re finished, just close it all behind the doors to hide the clutter. Off to the left there are two bi fold doors that open to reveal a shelf. It is completed by four deep drawers along the base of the unit… A.K.A…..TONS OF STORAGE SPACE! And the icing on the cake is that once all the doors are closed and the shelves are pushed in it has a beautiful open shelf area lined with grass cloth wallpaper and a unique modern dental molding that borders on being art deco…GORGEOUS!! A perfect open space to display lovely objects d’art! If you have been looking for an awesome multi useful wall unit, you just found it! Now, you need to make it yours!!

Handsome mid-century modern German shrunk, wall unit, secretary, or liquor cabinet in beautiful teak veneer. This piece separates into two pieces upper and lower. It is in wonderful condition with no outstanding flaws. That is not to say it is without small imperfections. It does have normal small nicks, dings, and scratches that would appear with age and use. We have touched these up to the best of our ability, but some may be slightly visible. There are slight color differences to the wood veneers which is inherent of this type of furniture and part of its beauty. The interiors of the drop front desk or liquor cabinet sections have at some point in its life been painted with a textured gold paint and the lid stays on these sections are new leaving signs of where the previous lid stays were attached (on the interior only). We have also noted a quarter size stain on the top surface of the base piece. It is heavy duty; we have added 8” adjustable levelers. Please see photos. Circa mid-20th century.
