ABOUT
We believe this great and interesting trio of tables to be circa 1970-80’s. We believe this because my husband and I purchased, when first buying new furniture for ourselves, a set of similar tables during this time frame from a company named James David Co. (I wish we still had them!) I can’t find much information on James David Co. except a couple times in newspaper articles in 1980 grouping them with other furniture makers like Thayer Coggin and Steelcase when referencing the “Elegant Eighties”. Now, this is not to say these are by James David Co. Obviously, Milo Baughman was designing similar pieces at that time as well; and, there was Ron Seff or Romeo Rega. Although the maker isn’t known, the good quality and great style abounds in this trio. They are comprised of 1.5-inch chromed tubular steel connected on their four corners with a rounded brass detail. Their shape is Parson’s style with smoked gray ¼ inch glass inserted tops. They are absolutely beautiful with only minor age blemishes. Use them together or separate but just make them yours.
