The frames are comprised of a sultry black lacquer finished hardwood with wide square seat bases, brass details on the front and back seat corners, straight square legs with brass feet or sabots, and a gorgeous horseshoe or yoke backs with brass details and a center back splat featuring a lovely keyhole design… they are STUNNING!! And we haven’t even talked about this incredible FABRIC yet!! Prior to our obtaining these beauties they were re-upholstered in this GORGEOUS silver or gray embroidered faux silk fabric, and they look exquisite!! These chairs are unmarked (we assume whoever reupholstered them removed their tag!) but we have seen similar chairs with the same brass details on the Yoke backs which are tagged as Century furniture, they are the closest representation to these. But the original styling of this chair was a play on an ancient style reinterpreted by the infamous James Mont! They will be fabulous in your living room, one on each side of your sofa or as seating in a bedroom, office, or sitting room.
