“Light is good from whatever lamp it shines”-That quote is from an unknown author, but it couldn’t be better said! Light IS good and this lamp is GREAT!! We have a fantastic Smith table lamp designed by Christopher Spitzmiller to offer to you!! It is comprised of a lovely ivory ceramic body that looks like three graduated stacked flying saucer shapes with a unique “living finish” that Visual Comfort says will patina over time. It also features stunning brass details such as a round beveled brass base, brass check ring at the top of the body, a substantial, impressive brass socket, and a brass ball finial. A bunch of beautiful brass!! All the wiring is in wonderful working condition, and it has a dimmer switch on the socket under the original natural percale shade. This beauty is both modern and contemporary in style with a little Art Deco flair, and it will look awesome in any room or on any lamp table in your home!
Christopher Spitzmiller began his career in 1996 in Georgetown, Washington, D.C. and his one-of-a-kind lamps quickly became instant classics sought after by designers such as Albert Hadley and Richard Keith Langham. In 1999 he moved to New York City and expanded his workshop with a crew of skilled craftspeople. His work has been featured in most major design magazines as well as The New York Times and Wall Street Journal. He produced lamps for Obama’s Oval Office and many other distinguished American homes. With his success in lamps, he has expanded his repertoire to include tableware, decorative accessories, mirrors, and furniture.
A gorgeous table lamp by an iconic designer! It doesn’t get much better than that! Make it yours!
