Oh la la!!! What a gorgeous mink coat! Circa 1980 brown and black with shawl style neckline, elastic cuffs, and full length to boot. What more can I say? It is in perfect condition, shiny and luxurious with a full lining, hook and eye closures, and side slit pockets. Originally from Gerhardt of Kansas City with original owners embroidered monogram mOs. Found in the obituary of Donald C. Gerhardt 1928-2008, CEO of Gerhardt Furs and son of original owners Clemens P. and Felicitas C. Gerhardt: “Gerhardt Fur Company was founded in 1924 in downtown Kansas City. The store was relocated to the Country Club Plaza in 1937.” Donald Gerhardt retired in 1994 and the store closed. “Gerhardt Furs was considered to be one of the finest fur companies in the Midwest.” This fabulous fur coat measures 20 inches from shoulder to shoulder and 20 inches at the bust with an overall length of 53 inches and sleeve length of 26 inches. This awesome vintage mink coat must be yours. Wear it for evening or better yet, all day with jeans and boots!!
