This intriguing papier-mache dress form is an awesome piece of sculptural art. I’m pretty sure this mannequin was made for display purposes and not as a dressmaker’s model. It is comprised of a decorative paper mache female, or Judy as a female mannequin is sometimes called, bust and hips which is mounted to a rustic unfinished pine stand with an oval stepped base. I imagine this fabulous piece being used to show off an amazing haute couture outfit. Or maybe an antique kimono or obi. Possibly holding just a strand of long and lustrous real pearls to be placed on display. And, maybe you just want in your bedroom or walk-in closet to hold your robe or tomorrows outfit. Whatever way you envision using this piece…you must first make it yours!
