These are so funky and cute!! Just look at these Scandinavian mid-century Gonk bookends attributed to Hans Bolling. They are comprised of teak with carved little figures with real fur hair and rope arms. Although we have settled on Gonk to call them, they have so many names. Sometimes called trolls. Often called Tomte. Others call them gnomes. And, many call them optimist and pessimist bookends. You should just call them yours!! Or they would make an awesome special gift.
