The Vignellis are quoted as saying they used a handkerchief as their inspiration for the chairs design, hence their name; Handkerchief Chair. Knoll’s description of the chair states, they capture the lightness and organic ease of a handkerchief drifting in the wind. This set of two are comprised of a gray fiberglass reinforced polyester seat and backrest with a base of steel wire finished in brightly polished chrome.
