This fruit bowl is simply gorgeous! It was designed by Alice Abi for Alessi in 2006. Comprised of 18/10 mirror polished stainless-steel which was cut flat and then bent and welded to achieve its final shape. Reminding us somewhat of a pinwheel with its grace and fluid form. Alice Abi was born in Sydney, Australia and acquired both undergraduate and postgraduate qualification in fine art. She practices a range of media from painting, photography and sculpture to sound and object design. Abi has stated she believes the fundamentals of geometry, mathematics and color are a universal language and we can see that in this fruit bowl. This would be perfect mixed with a design aesthetic from mid-century modern to industrial to transitional. You need to make this fabulous bowl yours.
