Glamour is the word of the day for this set of 6 Gold Fleck champagne flutes or wine glasses by Dorothy C. Thorpe circa 1950’s. They are the epitome of mid century modern and right off the Mad Men set! Ms. Thorpe, like her contemporaries George Briard and Fred Press, designed but did not manufacture her stunning creations. Her wonderful designs were created using sandblasting, silver overlay and paint speckle on simple blank glassware from U.S. and European manufacturers. These wine stems are part of a much larger set of barware / cocktailware we have listed. Each piece of stemware is marked with Dorothy C. Thorpe’s ” dTc ” sandblasted signature. A set of 6 and in wonderful vintage condition, no chips, cracks or chiggers. There must be some wear as you would expect for their age but I haven’t found any yet!
