Don’t let anyone tell you that size doesn’t matter!! It DEFINITELY does!!! Just take another look at this TREMENDOUS TREASURE!!!!! This is a gorgeous Drexel Heritage 3 piece wall display, vitrine, or storage unit. The centerpiece features stunning burl upper & lower double doors & top facia, with black painted bases, top trim & middle accent strip. It is beautifully finished on three sides & even the back looks nice plus it hosts the Drexel Heritage tag. Open the upper double doors to reveal a dry bar with a black laminate surface, 2 shallow & partially adjustable glass shelves, & a mirrored back. It has a fixed open station above for liquor bottles & storage and a lower drawer with lovely little cylindrical brass knobs. Below the dry bar section & behind the lower double doors awaits a single wood shelf with 3 holes on the sides about an inch apart for partial adjustments. Each side tower is comprised of tall narrow glass doors that open from the front or sides with brass knobs and they are surrounded with burl, black, & brass trim. They have a top & lower section divided by a fixed square glass shelf surrounded by black & brass trim. The lower single glass shelf is adjustable while the three top shelves are partially adjustable. All of the square glass shelves have double plate grooves on the backs & inner sides & both towers have mirrored backs and inner sides. ALL 3 sections are lighted, bear recessed black painted bases, and the 2 glass towers have a slightly shallower frame… so they sit back just a bit from the center piece!!! It’s an attractive aesthetic!!! WHEW!!!! Did I tell you… there’s A LOT to LOVE here!!! And if that wasn’t enough, we haven’t even BEGUN on the configuration possibilities beholding this BIG BEAUTY! Obviously it looks awesome as one huge wall unit, however, you could put the two glass towers in separate or opposite corners or butt them together to form their own single unit; and the center piece can stand on its own as a dry bar. It would be wonderful in your family or dining room hosting sculptures, art and treasures, and with its double plate grooves in the glass shelves, it’s perfect to display your fine China. This colossal cabinet is not only impressive in size but in versatility, purpose, functionality, and it’s BURSTING with Modern magnificence!! This is no AVERAGE cabinet… Trust me when I tell you… in this instance, BIG (but very versatile!) is DEFINITELY better!!
Drexel Furniture Company was founded in 1903 in Drexel, North Carolina by six businessmen for a total investment of $14,000.00. Sam Huffman, one of the initial founders, managed the enterprise until his death in 1935 when his son, Robert O. Huffman took the helm. By 1950, under the younger Huffman’s leadership Drexel had grown from a small factory to a leader in furniture manufacturing. They acquired other furniture companies along the way and by the late 1950s employed 2300 workers. The 1960s had them adding industrial and hospitality furniture to their lines. In 1968 they were purchased, and Drexel Enterprises became Drexel Heritage Furnishings, Inc. They continued to add to their styles and lines and were sold again and then in 1986 became part of Masco Corporation one of the country’s largest furniture manufacturers. They are now based in High Point, NC and operate ten factories in North Carolina and one in South Carolina and are one of the leading furniture manufacturers in the world.
