This is a fabulous and functional vintage Art Deco Revival silver plated round chafing dish buffet set by English Silver Manufacturing Company comprised of 5 pieces including a round chafing pot with an attached handle with attached lid, a stand, a tray or base, round fuel burner, and round glass Pyrex bowl that sits inside the chafing pot. We researched high and low to find more information on English Silver Manufacturing Company and all we were able to retrieve is that they were active in the last half of the 20th Century… so not much, but no matter! This vintage buffet set is absolutely incredible!!! The silver plate has an all-over wonderful vintage patina appropriate with its age… that we particularly love, and it is super easy to use!! That’s right, this baby is FULLY functional. Simply pour liquid fuel in the burner, place it in the designated spot in the center of the tray, light the burner, place your goodies of choice in the user-friendly glass Pyrex bowl, and await your desired temperature. VOILA!! Warming made fashionable AND easy!!! And the lid has a convenient feature!! There is an S shaped lever attached to both the handle and lid designed to assist… when you lower the handle, you raise the lid… when you raise the handle, you lower the lid!! Isn’t that NICE!!
