What a FABULOUS foursome!! We have a magnificent set of 4 natural bamboo Asian dining chairs for you to check out! They have a unique build, totally constructed of natural large diameter bamboo. There are no nails or modern fastening hardware to be found and no visible forms of attachment, other than slits and slots in the bamboo! Each chair is steamed, bent, pegged, and wedged into place. The legs and seat edge are made of one piece of bamboo that is cut on the underside and bent to create a front leg, the seat edge, and a back leg. Now, they do make some creaks and cracks and look as though they could be fragile BUT they are NOT. The bamboo stalks are rather large, and they are very well made, sturdy, and strong. Also, no two chairs are identical. Each dining chair has its own characteristics and individual personality. The center back slats are painted black and feature Asian details and writing that is hand carved into the bamboo. We don’t know what they say but they are all different and we feel like they originally came from China. We have them on display in our showroom, and my mother placed a pillow in the seat for more comfort and it gives them a very versatile look. You can add your own spark of color and use them at a breakfast nook, kitchen table, or maybe extra seating in the family room. They will add just the right touch of chinoiserie charm around any table or in any room you choose. A set of magnificent bamboo dining chairs like this doesn’t come around very often, so if you love them even half as much as we do, you better hurry up and make them YOURS!!!
